For Speakers

Topics of Interest

As an embedded systems expert either in the industry or academia, we invite contributions from you focusing on one or more of the following topics:

  1. Case Studies. Case studies describing a successful, and equally importantly unsuccessful collaboration efforts in a mix of industrial and academic partners, including corresponding root-cause analysis.

  2. Unsatisfactory Transfer of Problems from Industry to Academia. Specific industrial problems not well understood, trivialized, or under-represented in the academia, including root-cause analysis. This can include case studies wherein academic understanding of a problem differs from the industrial version, including root-cause analysis (e.g., industrial version is polluted with implementation/platform specific details).

  3. Unsatisfactory Transfer of Methods and Tools from Academia to Industry. Case studies wherein methods and tools developed by the academia did not successfully enter sustained production in the industry, with corresponding root-cause analysis, e.g., industry does not invest enough to understand academic solutions, thereby failing to adapt presented solutions to their needs.

  4. Quality Metrics and Benchmarks. How to benchmark methods and tools? What existing benchmarks are appropriate, and which new benchmarks must be created? How should these benchmarks be distributed, as well as results collected?
